Braeden Botts records a commercial for the Marketing Office.
ASU-Beebe “Life as a Vanguard” series introduces Braeden Botts, student photographer and writer for the Marketing and Public Relations Office.
Braeden Botts is the student photographer and writer for the Marketing and Public Relations Office this semester.
Since high school, Botts has been very active within all aspects of photography. He currently is expanding his photography by covering community sporting events, individual and group photography requests.
Botts, originally from California, moved to Cabot and chose ASU-Beebe for multiple reasons. “At first, I was considering UCA, but after looking at my choices I chose ASU-Beebe because I have always loved the small-town feel,” he said. “Coming from a big city, that small town feel is very important for building greater connections with people in the community.”
Botts is a freshman, pursuing an associate’s degree in business, taking both online and in-person classes. He said his favorite classes have been business statistics and oral communications.
After Botts earns his business degree at ASU-Beebe, he said he plans to transfer to UCA to continue his education.
Botts said his ultimate goal is to build a photography business in Cabot. “I want to own my own studio and be the photographer people can call in the Cabot area,” he said.
When not studying or doing photography, Botts loves to work out on his down time. He said he feels it is very important to take care of your body and be as healthy as possible.
Botts is also passionate about respect and honesty. He said he respects others because that’s what others deserve. He noted that being honest and ethical are important attributes in regard to building credibility as a business owner.
Botts offered advice to other students, saying, “Follow your dreams, be passionate. Don’t let people who are against you, bother you. Keep striving for what you want to do and the hard work will pay off.”
Life as a Vanguard is a social media series produced by the ASUB Office of Marketing and Public Relations. These are ‘get to know’ articles of interest about students, faculty, and staff within the Vanguard campus community.
