The Office of Workforce and Community Development is focused on enhancing the lives of current and future employees within the local community. The Workforce and Community Development team strives to offer world-class training through numerous non-credit classes designed to meet business and industry needs now and into the future.
Short-term Workforce Training classes are designed to enhance personal or professional growth and skills that can be offered during the day, at night, on weekends, or even online. Courses can be conducted on all four ASU-Beebe campuses in Beebe, Heber Springs, Little Rock Air Force Base, and Searcy.

Customized Development & Training
ASU-Beebe delivers high-quality customized training designed to improve the performance and efficiency of your company. Workforce staff will work with your company to develop training programs to meet the specific needs of your industry. Training can be conducted at one of our many campus locations or your place of business based on your needs and schedule. Participants in workforce education classes/trainings may earn continuing education units (CEUs). One CEU represents ten contact hours of participation under qualified instruction. A transcript of work will be permanently filed at the college and readily available for your reference needs.
Programs Offered
Business & Management - designed to help prepare and advance the managerial, leadership, and basic business-related technical skills of the talent our local business and industry partners possess.
Health & Safety - provides formal training for a broad range of workplace requirements. Our hands-on, direct engagement approach ensures satisfaction that the topic is covered thoroughly to improve worker safety. Our standard instructional formats currently include classroom lectures, audio-visual presentations, simulations, and practical assessments when applicable.
Industrial & Technical - committed to developing and organizing training events relevant to the current business and industry climate. We continuously strive to understand what training is necessary for businesses and individuals in our area to be efficient, effective and successful. Workforce Grant Opportunities
If you are a business or industry partner, there is a possibility some types of training could qualify for a grant funded by the Office of Skills Development. If you are not familiar with the available Workforce Training Grants, please feel free to ask us, and we can assist you with locating the application or submitting the application on your behalf to supplement the cost of training your employees. Scholarship & Registration
For Scholarship Opportunity: The Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship is available for some non-credit ASU-Beebe Workforce programs. General information for the scholarship, including award amount, application deadlines, and eligibility criteria, can be found at Arkansas Workforce Challenge.
To Register for a Workforce Course: Contact the Office of Workforce and Community Development at 501.207.6250. Participants only need to complete the short Workforce Data Form and then pay for the course through the Cashier's Office.
- Data Forms must be submitted three (3) business days prior to the start of a Workforce course.
- Forms may be completed at any time before this date.
- Completed forms can be dropped off at the Workforce and Community Development office on the Searcy Campus (Tech East, Room 122).
- Payment must be received two (2) business days prior to the start of a Workforce course.
