Theatre AFA = Associate of Fine Arts
Whether performing on the stage or working behind the scenes, practitioners of theatre arts bring stories to life through entertainment and inspiration. The theatre program at ASU-Beebe is an all-encompassing program that embraces all aspects of theatre, including theatre performance, production and management. It provides opportunities for the development of a wide range of theatrical skills. These skills, in turn, enrich the student's academic, professional and cultural life. Whether or not you seek a career in the performing arts, theatre study will allow students to develop presentation skills and cultural awareness applicable to various career paths.

Program Outcomes

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of critical studies and histories of theatre and performance.  
  • Display creative proficiency in the area(s) of acting, directing, design and theatre technology.  
  • Complete a comprehensive capstone project in an area of acting, directing, design or theatre technology.  
  • Share exceptional thoughts regarding acting, directing, design and theatre technology basics.  
  • Demonstrate significant insight into the dramatic arts' role as a collaborative art form with social impacts.
