The Arkansas State University-Beebe practical nursing program is an 11-month program that offers students the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed to work in various health care settings. Students will build on a rich tradition of committed educational experiences focused on effective communication, critical thinking and clinical reasoning.

Important Practical Nursing Information

What is on the test and how long is it? 
The test is not timed, but set aside 1.5 to 2 hours.


It has three sections. All sections are required:
Reading: 20 multiple-choice questions
WritePlacer: 300-600 word essay or Writing: 20 multiple-choice grammar questions
Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS): 20 multiple-choice questions


How much does the test cost?

- Full test: $15

How are applicants evaluated for acceptance? 
Entrance exam scores are compiled and listed highest to lowest.  The highest applicants are accepted into the program.
