Student Employment on Campus

Student Employment on Campus

Student Life is at the heart of campus involvement at ASU-Beebe. Whether it's assisting in managing the Dr. Eugene McKay Student Center, executing first-class campus activities, or engaging our resident population in community development, there might be a role for you to play.

Student Center Positions

Front Desk Student Assistants serve as the face of the Student Center and ASU-Beebe. Attendants provide accurate information about all aspects of ASU-Beebe and help answer the mainline for the college. Student workers will be required to work 10-20 hours per week and may have to work during some campus breaks.

Facilities & Events Student Assistants support the Office of Student Life in executing student activities, campus meetings, and events. The Facilities & Events team works together to set equipment for meetings and events and complete custodial tasks assigned by the professional staff. Student workers will be required to work 10-20 hours per week and may have to work during some campus breaks.

Housing & Campus Living Positions

Residence Hall Manager (RHM): An RHM is a part-time, live-in professional with an undergraduate degree in college student personnel, counseling, psychology, social work or a related field. The RHM is responsible for all activities in the residence hall. They supervise the RAs and assist in the program management of the residence halls.

Student Resident RA: RAs have numerous responsibilities in the scholarship leadership position, including the focal point of day-to-day operations of their floor. The RA is at one time: student, community developer, referral agent, business manager, peer, friend, and disciplinarian. The RA position is the most comprehensive student leadership position attainable at ASU-Beebe. This diversity of roles and responsibilities is challenging and calls on the RA to develop organizational and interpersonal skills. The position of RA provides an opportunity to maximize self-development, maturity, and confidence during the college years.

Student Desk Assistant (DA): A DA is the first contact for students and guests entering the residence hall, and it is important that the desk staff sets a welcoming environment for students and guests. Desk assistants will also aid the Residence Hall Director as needed.
