Performing Arts Series

Performing Arts Series

The ASU-Beebe Performing Arts Series brings entertaining and educational events for students and community members to enjoy, thereby expanding their cultural horizons. Previous programs have included world-renowned musicians, Hollywood actors and lecture programs by individuals significant to Arkansas history. Most Performing Arts events are held in the Owen Center auditorium on the Beebe campus, located at 1102 West College Street. If the program is more suited for a different on-campus venue, that location will be featured in the program's promotional information. Tickets are available to purchase online using our ASUB Ticketleap vendor, locally at the Institutional Advancement office in the Ruth Couch Center on the Beebe campus or at the door one hour prior to the event.
Theater Department

Theater Department

The Theatre Department administers the Associate of Fine Arts in Theatre degree program, which offers a variety of theatre and communication coursework and addresses three areas; art, music, and speech/theatre. There are several degree options available to students.

This Department is unique because it also serves the campus, the community, and the state by providing artistic, cultural, and educational leadership. It is concerned with providing opportunities and encouragement for students to develop inherent talents and capacities, and it enables the students to put into practice techniques learned in the classroom. Students may take advantage of these opportunities through enrollment in departmental courses or participation in co-curricular theatre productions. ASU-Beebe's theatre productions take place with several stage shows each semester and includes various genres, storylines and student participation.
