Academic & Community Standards

At the ASU-Beebe, we want students' continued education to be successful and engaging, and we care about the safety and well-being of our campus community. With this in mind, the ASU-Beebe has established clear academic & community standards through a document entitled the Student Code of Conduct, which communicates the collective expectations of members of the Vanguard community.

The Dean of Students is responsible for the administration college's s academic & community standards and facilitation of the Student Conduct Process. Aiming to provide a safe and equitable campus community, potential violations of the Student Code of Conduct are investigated and adjudicated through a process designed to foster self-reflection, promote civility, and encourage personal responsibility.

Student Leadership Programs

The Dean of Students is proud to provide a variety of formats for students to participate in developing the leader within. Whether participating in student government, joining a student orgainzation, finding real-work leadership opportunities on campus, or attending one of our many workshops, there is room for everyone to develop leadership skills while attending ASU-Beebe.

Cocurricular Learning & Assessment

It is the mission of the Office of Student Life to foster a campus environment that cultivates student learning through developing innovative and inclusive co-curricular programming that enables students to become citizen leaders and engaged scholars within their community. Our educational priority is to enable residents to become citizen leaders and students as engaged scholars within their community. Students living on campus at ASU-Beebe will benefit from an environment that encourages learning through scholarship, citizenship, and leadership.

Students at ASU-Beebe have the opportunity to participate in numerous experiences that promote learning. As the Office of Student Life assessed what experiences and outcomes students should gain while participating in campus life, four broad categories were identified which will serve as the center of campus life programming. Just like the arch which has historically stood in the center of the ASU-Beebe campus, we have labeled the outcomes ARCH, or:

  • Academic & College Success
  • Respect for Self & Others
  • Community & Leadership Engagement
  • Health & Personal Wellness

All campus life events and programming are designed to provide opportunities for students to engage with the ARCH Campus Life Curriculum's 16 cocurricular learning outcomes. The Dean of Students is responsible for assessing cocurricular learning for student life programming.
