Degree Plan
The Associate of General Studies (AGS) degree is designed for students who are working and need a degree and specific skills for their current job or a job upgrade. Though many of the courses are transferable, the degree is not particularly designed for students seeking to transfer to a four-year institution. Students should work closely with their advisor to determine the appropriate electives for this degree. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better and complete at least 15 hours at ASU-Beebe to graduate.

Program Outcomes

  • Achieve competency in reading comprehension and written and oral communications. 
  • Display an awareness of societal concepts and United States citizenship and an appreciation for the fine arts and physical fitness activity. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic mathematical concepts, general scientific knowledge, methodology and inquiry and general applications of technology.
  • Meet all of ASU-Beebe and Arkansas Division of Higher Education course requirements for degree completion.
