HVAC students analyze an AC unit in the shop

Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology

Air Conditioning Technology will focus on training students in installation and servicing of central air conditioning systems and a variety of refrigeration equipment. The student will be taught the skills needed to excel in the highly technical field of air conditioning as an HVAC technician. The student can use the knowledge gained in this course to pursue a reliable and satisfying job in the field. With air quality and temperature control being essential to our health and modern lifestyles, it is easy to understand why graduates of HVAC/R programs often have careers with long-term stability. In this HVAC training program, the student will be taught to trouble-shoot and service many types of systems. Few days are ever exactly the same. One day, the technician might be installing a furnace and ductwork for heating a new home, while another day, the technician might be servicing advanced air conditioning equipment.
