The Office of Career and Transfer Services at Arkansas State University-Beebe invites students, alumni, and community members to attend the annual Career and Transfer Expo to be held on Tuesday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Owen Center Gymnasium.
Career and Transfer Services Coordinator Jason Henry encourages participants to bring resumes and transcripts and to dress in business attire.
“The ASU-Beebe Career and Transfer Expo is a well-organized event designed to connect job seekers and those wishing to transfer to other post-secondary schools, with human resources representatives and college recruiters in attendance,” said Henry. “We want to showcase the incredibly talented students from our 70 plus degree and certificate programs to area employers. We also want students to know about the multitude of transfer schools available so they can identify the best fit for themselves.”
The primary purpose of the Career and Transfer Expo is to connect companies with highly qualified candidates for employment. Career and Transfer Services will make available the registered companies so that participants can do their research and be prepared to learn about career opportunities. In addition, participants can complete job applications, submit resumes, and learn about internship opportunities.
Additionally, students wishing to continue their education can visit with representatives from several colleges and universities to learn about degree programs, transfer scholarships, housing options, and student life to help them determine which school best matches their individual needs.
