FAQs

Why Virtual Commencement?

Virtual Commencement enables ASU-Beebe to honor our Fall 2020 graduates in the month of December while minimizing the risk of contracting Covid-19 for our students, faculty and staff.

Please see ASU-Beebe's Covid-19 Information Page for the latest updates from the college.

What is Virtual Commencement?

Virtual Commencement is a livestream video hosted on ASU-Beebe's Youtube Channel that will air on Friday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m.

During the livestream, the same components of a traditional commencement ceremony will take place, including the calling of graduates' names, degrees, and honors.

When a student's name is called, their graduate slide will be displayed on screen. Family and friends will be able to celebrate their student in the live chat during the ceremony.

What is a graduate slide?

When a student would normally walk across stage while their name is read aloud, a slide with their degree information, honors, a photograph, and a message from the student will be streamed live.

Can I walk in a future ASU-Beebe Commencement Ceremony?

Yes!

Although ASU-Beebe will not be hosting an in-person ceremony for Fall 2020, all graduates have the option on the Virtual Commencement Registration Form to RSVP to walk and be recognized as a Fall 2020 graduate in the Spring 2021 Ceremony.

How do I check to see that my graduation application is on file?

Once a student's application has been submitted, they will receive an email notification and also a web portal alert

Will I still be able to purchase regalia?

Yes! Brown's Graduation Supplies has an online storefront where students can order regalia and have it shipped to their home. Students are not required to purchase regalia in order to participate in Virtual Commencement.
