The automotive technology program is designed to give students working knowledge in automobile service and repair. This field has become so specialized and technical that thr demand for trained technicians increases daily. The program has been evaluated by the Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation standards of quality for training automobile technicians. It is certified in all eight areas of automotive technology. The shop is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and the latest technical publications to enhance student training. 
Students can earn industry-recognized certifications from Yamaha in Marine Technology and Toyota in Automotive Technology, enhancing their qualifications and career prospects in these specialized fields.

Automotive Technology Program

Metallica Scholars Initiative

ASU-Beebe has been selected as a recipient for Year 7 of the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI), securing a $75,000 grant for our Automotive Technology program. We are one of only 15 schools across the nation chosen for this honor.

  • Scholarships: 25 students will receive a $500 scholarship each.
  • Cutting-Edge Training: Funds will be used to purchase a Lucas Nuelle Hybrid/Electric Vehicle
    Specialist Trainer.

This advanced equipment and new curriculum will provide students with the hands-on skills necessary for electric and hybrid vehicle repair and diagnostics, preparing them directly for the in-demand ASE hybrid/electric certifications.
