Uncharted, the literary and art magazine at Arkansas State University-Beebe, publishes a broad scope of original poetry, prose, art and photography in the arts and humanities fields. The publication provides a stage for literary and artistic achievement by ASU-Beebe students and alums while encouraging new ideas and intelligent discourse in its community of readers. Uncharted, a product of the Division of Arts and Humanities, is published by students and faculty in the ASU-Beebe Publishing Studio.

Behind the Literary & Art Magazine

The title, Uncharted, characterizes the writing, art and photography selected for publication in the literary and art magazine at Arkansas State University-Beebe. Each piece interrupts the pattern of convention or illuminates the dark corners of unexplored topics.

The 2020/2021 volume of Uncharted testifies to the resilience of ASU-Beebe students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This magazine includes a special section, "We Rise: ASUB Student Voices During the Pandemic," that documents how students and their families continued to learn, write, think, create and live during this challenging time in our history. Uncharted is the product of collective work between the dean of arts and humanities, student members of the publishing studio, and the talented student writers, faculty, artists and photographers in the Division of Arts & Humanities at Arkansas State University-Beebe. We hope you enjoy this edition of Uncharted and that it inspires your own unexplored ideas, creations, and conversations.
