Pre-Dental Hygiene

ASHS/PPP = Associate of Science in Health Science/Pre-Professional Pathways

The Associate of Science in Health Sciences – Pre-Dental Hygiene Emphasis is a 60-semester hour program designed for students with specific occupational or transfer needs. It has a general education core made up of the 35-hour state minimum core requirements. It directs students toward meeting the requirements for the first 2 years of many dental hygiene baccalaureate degrees.

Engage students in a math and science curriculum that prepares them for acceptance into dental hygiene programs.
Enable students to apply quantitative, qualitative, and/or scientific reasoning to solve problems by emphasizing creative and analytical thinking in the curriculum.
