Duo
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your online accounts. Verifying your identity using a second factor like your phone or other mobile devices prevents anyone but you from logging in, even if they know your password.

Duo can be accessed by downloading the application to your device directly or using fobs provided by the ITS department. If you would like to request a fob, it must be reserved at least three days before the scheduled enrollment process begins. To download the Duo application for Apple and Android devices, please follow the links to the respective app stores.

Download the Duo app to your phone or tablet before attempting the setup process. 
The setup process works best when accessing your student email from a Windows PC or Mac separate from your mobile device. 
  1. Enter username and password as usual.
  2. Use your phone or fob to verify your identity.
  3. Securely log in.

Once you've enrolled in Duo, you're ready to go. You'll log in as usual with your username and password and then use your device to verify that it's you.


No mobile phone? You can also use a tablet or ask for a fob from the ITS deparment free of charge. Duo lets you link multiple devices to your account to use your mobile phone and a fob (or other) as two different devices.

Passwords are becooming easier to compromise. They can often be stolen, guessed or hacked. You might not even know someone is accessing your account. Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security, keeping your account secure even if your password is compromised. With Duo Push, you'll be alerted immediately through your phone if someone is trying to log in as you. This second factor of authentication is separate and independent from your username and password.  Duo never sees your password.
