The Arkansas State University-Beebe Licensed Practical Nurse/Paramedic to Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing program is a fast-track program providing current credentialed LPNs or Paramedics to pursue a greater level of education in the Registered Nursing field. The program consists of 34 pre-requisite courses and 30 nursing core courses. The role of the Registered Nurse builds on the basic knowledge of students' previous educational and work experience.  

Program Outcomes

  • The registered nurse will perform clinical judgment and provide safe and competent care within various settings. 
  • The registered nurse will use therapeutic communication skills with patients, families and caregivers and provide collaborative care regarding patient needs. 
  • The registered nurse will model and practice leadership skills by utilizing prioritization and delegation skills. 
  • The registered nurse will cultivate a team of health care professionals by practicing accountability, integrity, and responsibility within the professional role.
