Strategic Plan Spotlights Presented for January and February
Posted Date: 6/1/23

The ASU-Beebe Strategic Plan Spotlight award was recently presented for January and February 2023.

Penny Cook, instructor of education, received the award based on the mission statement, “Transforming Lives through Quality Learning Experiences” for January 2023.  The nomination reads: “Penny goes above and beyond for every student, coworker and visitor on this campus. She works hard to make sure education students have a club that promotes positive educational principles, inclusion and personal growth. She is an asset to the arts and humanities division. She’s always positive and spreads that energy to others.”

Kendall Casey, master instructor and program director for the career education division, received the award based on the strategic plan goal “Strong from the Start,” for February 2023. The nomination reads: “Kendall goes above and beyond to make sure I have all the resources needed for my classes to get started ‘right.’ And, it goes way beyond equipment. Last semester, I sustained injuries from a fall the Friday before the beginning of the semester. He coordinated efforts to get the classrooms open, Zoom logged in, and served as liaison to my first semester students so that they could start the semester with no waiting or interruption.”

ASU-Beebe faculty and staff are nominated for these awards by fellow faculty and staff based on their contributions toward achieving the college's strategic plan and three overarching strategic goals. The strategic goals are: “Strong From The Start,” “ASUBe Connected,” and “P32B1” (Policies, Practices and Procedures to be One College).
