The Health Information Technology program teaches students the duties and responsibilities of health care managers, medical billing and coders, medical records specialists, billing and posting clerks, medical transcriptionists, and business administrative assistants and office managers. Through the use of textbooks, applications, and simulations, students are given the opportunity to develop the skills required for this field of study. These skills include ICD-10-CM/PCS & CPT coding, insurance and billing, medical transcription, medical records management, and reception area responsibilities.

This healthcare field is a structured, fast-paced environment, and pharmacy technicians are committed to their profession and the people they serve. The Pharmacy Technician program at ASU-Beebe is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). The Pharmacy Technician program is part of our allied health programming.
