GYM RESTORATION PROJECT- JEANNIE LINDSEY BASKETBALL COURT NAMING
Help ASU-Beebe create a lasting legacy by naming the "Jeannie Myers Lindsey Basketball Court”! The campaign will focus on 100 donations of $1,000 each to reach the $100,000 goal needed to name the court. This gift can be made as a one-time gift, payroll deduct for ASUB employees and can be paid over a 2-year period. Ms. Jeannie Myers Lindsey, a retired faculty member, who served ASU-Beebe for 37 years is credited with creating and expanding the curriculum for both men’s and women’s physical education programs as well as re-establishing the AAU Women’s basketball team at ASU-Beebe. The team reigned as state champions for two years before she helped create the two-year women’s athletic conference in Arkansas.
STUDENT EMERGENCY HOPE FUND
The ASU-Beebe Student Emergency Hope Fund was created by the Student Government Association to provide financial support to students in immediate need of assistance due to an unexpected, unforeseen and unavoidable emergency expense that directly hinders their academic success. All ASU-Beebe students at the Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy or the Little Rock Air Force Base campuses are eligible to request assistance from the fund. This fund can make access to college resources, class attendance, access to food or shelter possible, and alleviate threats to students’ direct health and safety.
VANGUARD MINI GRANTS
The purpose of the mini-grant program is to provide faculty and staff financial support to engage in scholarly activities or projects designed to improve teaching, programmatic offerings, and/or student success initiatives. Initial funding has been provided through a generous gift to the college and the availability of funding is based on what is available. Requests will be evaluated throughout the year and will be awarded as such. Proposals are available to any faculty or staff member at any of the four ASU-Beebe campus locations.
LEGACY SCHOLARSHIPS
Donations can be made toward any scholarship listed by ASU-Beebe. These are the scholarships that have growth opportunities.
GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Beebe General Scholarship: This scholarship was established by ASU-Beebe. To qualify for this scholarship a student must be enrolled full time at ASU-Beebe campus and have at least a 2.5 GPA. It can be awarded to either a traditional student or non-traditional student.
Heber Springs General Scholarship: This scholarship was established by the ASU-Beebe Heber Springs Development Council. To qualify for this scholarship a student must be enrolled full time at the Heber Springs campus and have at least a 2.5 GPA. It can be awarded to either a traditional student or non-traditional student.
Searcy General Scholarship: This scholarship was established by ASU-Beebe Searcy. To qualify for this scholarship a student must be enrolled full time at the Searcy campus and have at least a 2.5 GPA. It can be awarded to either a traditional student or non-traditional student.
VANGUARD DISCOVERY CAMP
Vanguard Discovery Camp is a series of S.T.E.A.M. -related courses designed for students of various ages. Session topics include exploration of medical professions, Lego Robotics, developing a smartphone application, art class and drone piloting class. It costs on average $100 per student to attend a camp for the week. ASU-Beebe has over 250 students that attend throughout the summer. Individual student’s scholarships are available for corporate or individual donations.

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
When you lose an employee who you love and respect, you will likely do your best to honor that person in any way possible. A touching way to pay tribute to an ASU-Beebe faculty or staff member you love who has passed is to make a donation to ASU-Beebe in their memory. When you give to this Memorial Scholarship fund in a loved one’s memory, you’re touching the lives of hopeful students and honoring future generations. Each year the scholarship is given to deserving students. The families of the faculty or staff members are honored at the annual scholarship receptions.
UNCHARTED MAGAZINE WRITING & ART SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Uncharted, the literary and art magazine at Arkansas State University-Beebe, serves as a vibrant platform showcasing the creativity of students and alumni through original poetry, prose, art, and photography across the arts and humanities. More than a publication, it cultivates an environment fostering new ideas and discussions, brought to life by the dedication of students and faculty within the ASU-Beebe Publishing Studio. Contributing to the scholarship fund supports talented individuals passionate about the written word and visual expression, empowering the next generation of authors, artists, and thinkers to turn aspirations into published realities.
The single biggest concern that many students and their families face is how to pay for a college education. Scholarships are vital to assist students in paying for school – and they are the only way that some can fulfill their dreams of earning a college degree. By underwriting or offsetting tuition and expenses, you help ensure that the ASU-Beebe experience is affordable to motivated and deserving students. Scholarships also play an important role in helping ASU-Beebe attract and retain talented students who will be leaders in our community. Simply put, scholarships have the unique ability to change lives. An investment in scholarships is an investment in our most valuable resource at ASU-Beebe, its students. The return on your investment is immeasurable and upholds the future of our college, state and nation for generations to come.
Any student that has been fully admitted to ASU-Beebe is eligible to apply for a variety of privately funded scholarships administered by Arkansas State University - Beebe and the ASU System Foundation, Inc. Many of the scholarships offered are for both fall and spring semesters as well as some can be renewed for additional semesters, provided renewal criteria is met. The Office of Institutional Advancement highly recommends that you complete an application and submit supporting documentation (resume, letter(s) of recommendation, essay, etc.) to strengthen your application. Deadline for applications each year is June 1.
Currently all available scholarships are for full-time students and require evidence of scholastic achievement and/or outstanding ability in the area of the award. Scholarships vary in amounts and duration of award and are typically awarded based on availability of funds. All privately funded scholarship awards are for ASU-Beebe, Beebe campus, Heber Springs campus, Searcy campus and Little Rock Air Force Base.
Establish a New Scholarship
Scholarships may be need-based, merit-based or a combination of both, and they may be designated to any academic area on campus. They may be established as an award with a minimal annual investment or endowed at any level $25,000 and above. We will work with you on naming the fund and designing the award criteria. However you craft your scholarship, you can have confidence in knowing that the recipients will be deserving students who have the ambition to succeed at the Arkansas State University-Beebe and beyond.
