Welcome, New Students!

Congratulations on your acceptance to ASU-Beebe! The Office of Student Life is here to ensure your transition can go as smoothly as possible. Use the links on this page and information on our website to start thinking about your next steps in joining the Vanguard community! We hope we can be a resource for you and your family members during this exciting time, and we can’t wait to meet you during New Student Orientation! Important Dates

Banner Self Service

Students can use Banner Self-Service to register for classes, add or drop classes, view and print class schedules, review their transcript, check placement test scores, view holds on their account,  and check for Financial Aid eligibility. 

Placement & Skills Testing

To make sure you are registered for the appropriate courses, you may need to take some placement tests before registering for certain courses.

Academic Advising

Find out how to register for courses based on your academic program. At ASU-Beebe, course registration is completed using the online Vanguard Portal system, and can only be completed after consultation with an academic advisor.

Finaicial Aid

As a new student, you probably have lots of questions about where to go to find the resources and information you need about living and learning at ASU-Beebe. The New Student Checklist will help you start on the path to becoming the newest member of the Vanguard family.

Housing & Cmapus Living

Living in the residence halls or other campus housing offers you everything you need for college survival, as well as many advantages. You will have convenient access to campus facilities, comfortable living accommodations, and a residence life staff to help you.

FYI Sessions

During the Summer, we host a series of virtual information sessions, so you can be ready to join the Vanguard family this Fall. Each 30 minute session will include a conversation with a different office on campus and  Q&A.

New Student Checklist

Summer Start is a great way to adapt to the rigors of college academics, gain experience in college-level courses and start on the path towards graduation, all before the fall semester begins in August.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is a highly recommended program for first-year students that will take place the week before classes begin. Parents and family members are also invited to attend a concurrent program.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week marks the beginning of the fall  semester with a series of events that allow new and returning students to begin or continue building their community at ASU-Beebe. Students will have the opportunity to explore campus involvement, build academic skills, and meet new people!

Parents and families, we are excited that you and your student have chosen ASU-Beebe! This summer Student Life will publish a webpage to keep you informed of the resources that our office and the college have to offer.

 

Student Leadership

Get to know our Student Leaders! They will be peer mentors during New Student Orientation and in the Residence Halls, and great resources during your first semester.

Take college classes while still in high school

Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent enrollment enables students to get a jump on their degree path by gaining college credits while still in high school.

Regional Career Center

Courses taken at the Regional Career Center are full academic credit through your high school. Students are also eligible to receive concurrent college credit for most of our programs.

The ASU-Beebe Adult Education Centers offer Official GED® Testing on the Searcy campus. 

Services Offered

ASUB Adult Ed offers a variety of services and trainings to better prepare the community for the workforce.

Workforce Education

These short-term classes are usually offered at night, weekends, or online and are designed to enhance personal or professional skills. 

Community Education

The Continuing Education/Workforce Development Department at ASU-Beebe sponsors numerous non-credit classes that are designed to meet the needs of the general public and business workforce.

Advanced Programs

Through a partnership between A-State and ASUB, students may earn baccalaureate degrees from Arkansas State University by taking coursework at the Degree Center on the Beebe campus.
