Makers Days: Fostering Creativity and Community Spirit for a Worthy Cause
Posted Date: 10/14/25

ASU-Beebe is excited to announce the dates for this year's ASU-Beebe Makers Days from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Oct. 21 and Oct. 28, in the England Center pottery studio, located at 201 North Orange Street in Beebe.

During Makers Days, community members, alumni, employees and students are invited to channel their inner artisans to craft pottery with guidance from Dr. Lisa Floryshak, assistant professor of art. These handmade creations will be included in the annual pottery sale at the upcoming ASU-Beebe Community Tree Lighting event scheduled for Dec. 2.

The proceeds from selling these handcrafted items during the Tree Lighting Ceremony will augment the Student Emergency Hope Fund. This fund serves as a vital resource for students facing unexpected challenges, offering them support and hope during times of need.

"We are excited to host the ASU-Beebe Makers Days to foster creativity, camaraderie and philanthropy," said Andrea Cole, associate vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement. "It is a wonderful opportunity for individuals to come together, create art, and make a positive difference in the lives of our students."

ASU-Beebe invites all community members to participate and contribute to this initiative. Whether you are an experienced artist or wish to try your hand at pottery, your involvement will make a difference.
