Burrow Family Legacy Lives on Through Endowed Scholarship
Posted Date: 5/29/25

Arkansas State University-Beebe and Todd and Lee Ann Burrow have officially endowed the Millan and Kathryn Burrow Leadership Scholarship, ensuring ongoing financial support for students through a generous contribution from the Burrow’s. A special signing ceremony was held to commemorate the establishment of this scholarship.

Named in memory of Millan and Kathryn Burrow, the scholarship pays tribute to their legacy of service. Millan, a respected pharmacist and community leader, founded Burrow’s Drug Store in 1966, and for decades, the family remained committed to serving the Beebe community. The pharmacy, a long-standing pillar of Beebe, is now under new ownership, continuing its tradition of dedicated service.

“The Millan and Kathryn Burrow Leadership Scholarship Endowment not only honors my grandparents’ legacy but also reinforces our commitment to investing in students, ASU-Beebe, and the community of Beebe,” said Todd Burrow. “We are proud to continue supporting education in the place that means so much to our family.”

Additionally, Millan Burrow was an active member of the Beebe community, serving in the Kiwanis Club and on various business and financial boards. He was also involved in professional pharmacy organizations and the couple were dedicated members of Beebe First United Methodist Church.
Both Todd and his wife, Lee Ann Burrow, are proud alumni of ASU-Beebe. Todd began his studies in the fall of 1989, and Lee Ann started in the spring of 1990.

The Millan and Kathryn Burrow Leadership Scholarship Endowment also offers a unique mentorship opportunity for the student to receive one-on-one guidance from ASU-Beebe Chancellor Dr. Jennifer Methvin. This year’s scholarship recipient is Ava Neal, a health sciences major from Cabot. The first recipient of the scholarship was Catherine Hartman, a 2024 graduate, who is now an administrative specialist for the Vanguard One Stop at ASU-Beebe.
