The event brought together donors, community partners, faculty, staff, and students to highlight the impact of philanthropy and partnership across the institution. Guests also heard from students and alumni whose educational journeys have been shaped by scholarships and donor support.
Dr. Jennifer Methvin, chancellor of ASU-Beebe, emphasized the important role donors and community partners play in helping students succeed.
“Every scholarship, partnership and gift represents an investment in our students and in the future of our communities,” Methvin said. “Because of the generosity of our donors and partners, ASU-Beebe students have opportunities to pursue their goals, develop their talents and build meaningful careers.”
Throughout the evening, several students shared their personal experiences at ASU-Beebe, highlighting the impact of donor support across a variety of academic programs. Student speakers included Quinn Darnold, majoring in theatre; Jesse Dougan, a general technology major; Grace Tustison, a health sciences major; and Ethan Davenport, a liberal arts and sciences major.
Guests also heard from Cody Wilkerson, a nursing alumnus of ASU-Beebe, who shared how the college helped prepare him for his career and the lasting impact the institution continues to have on its graduates.
During the event, Stallion Transportation Group was recognized as the recipient of this year’s Community Partner Award. Based in Beebe, Stallion Transportation Group is a transportation and logistics company that serves customers across the country while maintaining strong ties with the local community. The company was honored for its continued support of ASU-Beebe and its commitment to strengthening workforce opportunities in the region.
“Partnerships like the one we share with Stallion Transportation Group help create meaningful connections between education and industry,” Methvin said. “Their support reflects the shared commitment we have across our community to invest in students and strengthen the future workforce.”
The Heart of a Vanguard event also recognized the many donors and community partners who provide scholarships, financial contributions and in-kind support throughout the year. These gifts help fund scholarships, support student success initiatives and provide opportunities that allow students to remain in school and complete their education.
Andrea Cole, associate vice chancellor for the Office of Institutional Advancement, said the evening serves as a reminder of how deeply the community cares about ASU-Beebe students.
“Every year this event gives us the opportunity to pause and say thank you to the people who believe in our students,” Cole said. “Our donors and community partners are truly part of the ASU-Beebe family, and their generosity creates opportunities that change lives for the students we serve.”
The annual Heart of a Vanguard Donor Appreciation event celebrates the partnerships and philanthropy that continue to move ASU-Beebe’s mission forward and support the success of students across its campuses and programs.
