Posted Date: 10/6/26

Cody Lynn Campbell worked in the Information Technology Services at Arkansas State University-Beebe as a helpdesk technician before graduating in 2026 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Systems and Networking Technology (CSNT).

Campbell was then hired as an IT Support Specialist at Sullivan Wright Technologies in Little Rock.
She began her journey in the field of information technology working in the electronics department at Walmart, where she sold cellular devices to customers and discovered a passion for troubleshooting and repairing them.

“The hands-on problem-solving and research into the latest phone technologies sparked my passion for IT and ultimately led me to pursue my studies at ASU Beebe,” she recounts.

Campbell said she chose the CSNT program because she wanted to understand the inner workings and mechanics of technology.

“The CSNT program at ASU-Beebe has profoundly shaped my long-term career goals by exposing me to the vast range of sectors within IT,” Campbell said. “Through the program, I discovered the incredible diversity of opportunities available and realized that my career path is ultimately what I choose to pursue and work toward.”

Campbell made leaps and bounds during her time at ASU-Beebe, remarking that the certifications she earned through the program helped her stand out with employers. Those certifications include:
•  Introduction to Cybersecurity - Cisco Networking Academy
•  Networking Basics - Cisco Networking Academy
•  Networking Devices and Initial Configuration - Cisco Networking Academy
•  Endpoint Security- Cisco Networking Academy
•  Network Defense - Cisco Networking Academy
•  Cyber Threat Management- Cisco Networking Academy
•  Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Career Path Exam - Cisco Networking Academy
•  AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator Practice Course – uCertify

Additionally, in 2025, she secured a summer internship at Apptegy, a communications platform based in Little Rock for school districts, selected as one of only five students statewide.

“I strongly recommend beginning your job search as early as possible and continuously polishing your resume,” she continued. “Everything you learn can be added to showcase the practical skills you are developing as a student.”
