Use caution for emails that require action or ask for personal information. If an email sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Forward any emails that look suspicious to helpdesk@asub.edu, then right click on the email and select report phishing. Do not click on the links in the email.
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security, keeping your account secure even if your password is compromised. This is separate and independent from your username and password. If a site or app offers you the ability to set up two-factor authentication when signing up, do it. This is one of the best ways to prevent your account from becoming compromised.
ASU-Beebe uses Duo. Duo never sees your password. With Duo, you will be alerted immediately through your phone if someone is trying to log in as you. Never approve a Duo push that you did not initiate yourself.
Keep your applications, browsers and computer updated by running updates for your computer and mobile devices. Be sure to regularly restart them to complete the update process.
Use caution when clicking links, opening attachments, visiting websites or responding to emails. Be mindful of the items you plug into your computer as malware can spread through infected flash drives, external hard drives and cell phones.
