Vanguard Mini Grants

Purpose

    The Mini-Grant program at ASU-Beebe is made possible through generous donor funding and has a positive impact on students and the college community. This unique opportunity provides financial support to our faculty and staff, enabling them to engage in scholarly activities and initiatives that enhance teaching, program offerings, and ultimately, student success. The Vanguard Mini-Grant program plays a vital role in encouraging innovation and development within our academic environment, and its significance cannot be overstated.

    Throughout the year, proposals are carefully selected, yielding many projects showcasing the outcomes of this valuable program. The Vanguard Mini-Grant program consistently attracts innovative and impactful ideas and initiatives from its applicants. These projects exemplify the program's commitment to fostering innovation and development, from a hospital-grade vital sign machine at the Regional Career Center to creating a mini library in "The Grove" by the Trio Leadership Council. Other noteworthy endeavors include:

    • ASU-Beebe Spanish children’s book collection
    • Pharmacy packaging Medi Dose system
    • Parkin Archeological Park’s Wild Clay and Pitfire Intercollegiate workshop
    • Ruth Couch reading and study room
    • Monarch butterfly garden
    • Math manipulatives
    • Leadership library
    • Aerial photography/drone video


    These projects highlight the significant impact of the Mini-Grant program on enhancing teaching, program offerings, and overall student success.

    Funding

    Full-time faculty and staff members are eligible for the funding requests from $750 to $1,500 during the academic year 2023-2024.
