"The Unsinkable Molly Brown" is a celebration of love, hope and the resilience of the human spirit. The story is a fictionalized account of Margaret Brown, a survivor of the RMS Titanic's tragic sinking, and her journey alongside her adventurous miner husband. Audiences will be taken on a journey through the early 20th century, where they will witness Molly Tobin's tenacious spirit and her determination to rise above adversity.

The story begins with a young Tobin, who is determined to challenge societal norms and create her own path in life. Desiring education and dreaming of marrying a wealthy man, Tobin travels to the Saddle Rock saloon in Leadville, Colorado. It is here that she encounters the charming and charismatic J.J. "Leadville" Johnny Brown, whose love for Tobin sets off a chain of events that will forever change their lives ("I'll Never Say No").

As the couple waltzes into Denver's high society, their newfound wealth invites both admiration and ridicule from the "Beautiful People of Denver." In search of social acceptance, they embark on a European adventure, only to find that true happiness and love lie closer to home. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the RMS Titanic's fateful voyage ("Dolce Far Niente"), leading audiences to a heart-stopping climax.

The ASU-Beebe theatre department’s rendition of "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" promises to be a captivating theatrical experience for all. Under the direction of theatre director, Ryan Gibbons, the cast and crew have dedicated themselves to bringing this timeless classic to life, honoring the legacy of Margaret Brown and her incredible resilience.
