Symphonic Band Announces April 29 Concert

The Arkansas State University-Beebe Department of Music will present the ASU-Beebe Symphonic Band concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 in the Owen Center theater on the Beebe campus, located at 1102 West College Street. The concert is free admission and open to the public.
 
The band is under the direction of Dr. Brent Bristow, professor of music, who will be joined by guest conductors Dr. Brandon Robinson, Lori Mills, and ASU-Beebe alum Avery Litton.

To commemorate Dr. Bristow's retirement from ASU-Beebe, he will give a special performance accompanied by a student saxophone quartet at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. The group is coached by Dr. Elissa Kana.

Selections will include works by Erik Morales, Larry Daehn, Lisa Galvin, Anthony Suter, Erik Morales, James Swearingen, Claude T. Smith, Jeremy Martin, and Brandon Robinson.
 
ASU-Beebe offers an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree with an emphasis on vocal music or instrumental music, theater, graphic design or creative arts enterprise. This degree is a comprehensive two-year curriculum designed specifically for transfer toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
