Strategic Plan Spotlights Presented for September and October
Posted Date: 1/19/23

The ASU-Beebe Strategic Plan Spotlight award was recently presented for September and October 2022.

Lisa Jones, Registrar’s Office records manager, received the award based on the strategic plan goal “Strong from the Start” for September 2022. The nomination reads: “My main reason for nominating Lisa is for her exceptional work on the implementation of our new degree audit system, Degree Works.  Lisa’s efforts with Degree Works match “Strong from the Start” perfectly, as her work gives students information and support services they need to make informed decisions about their educational endeavors. Earlier this semester, Lisa set a go-live date for Degree Works for Oct. 10 and she worked diligently to make sure that students and advisors had access to the system on that date.  She has also met one-on-one with deans and program coordinators to ensure that degree requirements are programmed correctly in Degree Works.  Lisa truly cares about equipping students with the tools they need so they can succeed at ASU-Beebe.”

Christy Parsons, administrative specialist in the Office of Academics, received the award based on the strategic plan goal “ASUBeConnected” for October 2022. The nomination reads: “I would like to nominate Christy Parsons for the ASUBe Connected Award.  Christy is outgoing and very supportive in her role in the Academics Office.  She always finds opportunities to be involved with both employee and student events on campus.  Christy's generous heart brought the idea of the 2022 ASU-Beebe Pink Out Day to life.  She made a number of calls and personal visits to offices across the campus to ensure everyone knew the importance of this special day.  It was an amazing day to see both students and employees connected and wearing pink to support, celebrate, and remember how breast cancer has touched our lives.”

ASU-Beebe faculty and staff are nominated for these awards by fellow faculty and staff based on their contributions toward achieving the college's strategic plan and three overarching strategic goals. The strategic goals are “Strong From The Start,” “ASUBe Connected,” and “P32B1” (Policies, Practices and Procedures to be One College).
