The ASU-Beebe Strategic Plan Spotlight award was recently presented for November 2022.
Denise Schueren, academic advisor in the advising and learning center on the Heber Springs campus, received the award for the strategic plan goal, “Strong from the Start,” for November 2022. The nomination reads: “Denise consistently goes above and beyond to help prepare students for their first semester of classes at ASUB. As an adviser, she is extremely detailed and works hard to ensure students feel confident about starting classes. She takes the time to have in-depth conversations with new students to make sure they not only have a personalized academic plan for the next few semesters but also to make sure they understand the resources and support available to them. Denise is described by students and coworkers as patient, kind and incredibly helpful. Her work as an adviser prepares students for graduation and supports student retention.”
ASU-Beebe faculty and staff are nominated for these awards by fellow faculty and staff based on their contributions toward achieving the college's strategic plan and three overarching strategic goals. The strategic goals are “Strong From The Start,” “ASUBe Connected,” and “P32B1” (Policies, Practices and Procedures to be One College).
