The ASU-Beebe Strategic Plan Spotlight award was recently presented for December 2022.
Cindy Smith, director of nursing, received the award based on the strategic plan goal, “Strong from the Start,” for December 2022. The nomination reads: “Cindy leads a program designed to graduate students prepared to meet or exceed the basic competencies of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Her students consistently complete the program and are readily employed at all levels. Graduates are practical nurses, registered nurses, patient care technicians and CNA's with medication assistant certified credentials. Outstanding nursing instructors and smart program design get students interested in the programs and working hard once admitted to completion. Cindy's direction has produced a top-notch program that ensures students are adequately prepared for entry into the workforce.”
ASU-Beebe faculty and staff are nominated for these awards by fellow faculty and staff based on their contributions toward achieving the college's strategic plan and three overarching strategic goals. The strategic goals are “Strong From The Start,” “ASUBe Connected,” and “P32B1” (Policies, Practices and Procedures to be One College).
