A native of Beebe and a proud alumnus of both Beebe High School and ASU-Beebe, Jenkins brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to community enrichment as he will serve as the marketing coordinator for the college.
“Returning home to ASU-Beebe feels like coming full circle,” said Jenkins. “This university has played a huge role in shaping my career, dating back to my time as a student and serving as a student ambassador from 2011-2013. I am so excited to contribute to its legacy of excellence.”
Jenkins earned an Associate of Arts degree from ASU-Beebe in 2013, a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism in 2015 and a Master of Arts in Multimedia Journalism in 2017 from Arkansas Tech University. His career has been marked by innovative leadership and a passion for storytelling, qualities that have earned him accolades across multiple industries.
Jenkins’ professional journey began at Beebe High School, where he revitalized the school’s broadcast program, fostering significant growth in student involvement and technical advancements. His expertise in engaging audiences took him to ESPN Radio in Fort Smith, where he worked as a producer for The Morning Rush and co-host of Halftime. There, Jenkins showcased his interviewing skills, connecting with prominent sports figures and contributing to statewide sports programming.
In 2021, Jenkins returned to the Beebe School District, where he spearheaded efforts to enhance its live streaming platform, increasing visibility for student-athlete programs and attracting significant audience growth. Under his guidance, the district’s YouTube channel achieved over 300,000 views by May 2025, reflecting his ability to leverage digital media for educational and community engagement.
“We are so excited to welcome Matt Jenkins home to ASU-Beebe,” said Andrea Cole, associate vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement. “As an alum, Matt knows firsthand the impact this institution can have. He brings a wealth of experience in digital media and a gift for storytelling that will help us share the heart of ASU-Beebe with our students, alumni and community. Having him back on campus truly feels like welcoming family home.”
