Arkansas State University-Beebe celebrated employees during the annual employee appreciation event at the Beebe campus on Wednesday, May 7.
A group of 39 faculty and staff members were recognized and retirees were honored for their 565 combined years of service to ASU-Beebe campuses located at Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy and the Little Rock Air Force Base.
Presented in five-year service increments, the highest honor was given to Lisa Jackson for 31 years of service and John Clowers for 30 years.
Those honored for 25 years of service were Cindy Smith and Karen Davidson.
Those honored for 20 years of service were Dennis Devine and Skot Harness.
Those honored for 15 years of service were: Rose Mary Jackson, Janet Liles, Donna Carr and Jason Marzewski.
Those honored for ten years of service were: Tim Abbott, Katie Brown, Catherine Burton, Brian Chandler, Dana Dobbins, Emily Fisher, Ashley Hankins, Gale Long, Jennifer Methvin, Theda Neldon, Denise Schueren, Michelle Supratman and Jennifer Trujillo.
Those honored for five years of service were: Jake Selvidge, Katie Vaughn, Cheryl Wiedmaier, Jennifer George, Teri Roper, Kayla Sapkota, Amber Dale and Alex Tubbs.
In addition, faculty and staff members who recently retired were recognized. Those honored were: Rose Mary Jackson, associate vice chancellor for institutional advancement, 15 years of service; Donna Carr, human resources benefits coordinator, 15 years of service; Cathy Crymes, accountant/payroll, 17 years of service; David Mayes, vice chancellor for student services, 18 years of service; Dennis Devine, assistant professor of business, 20 years of service; Jerry Sites, assistant professor of agriculture, 23 years of service; Judy Kirk, associate professor of mathematics, 24 years of service; Roger Moore, vice chancellor for finance and administration, 27 years of service; and Tonia Spradlin, assistant professor of business, 31 years of service.
Retiring faculty members honored with emeriti status included Dennis Devine, Jerry Sites, Judy Kirk, Roger Moore and Tonia Spradlin.
A posthumous emeritus award was presented to Karen Wisdom in honor of her husband, Chuck Wisdom, Jr., an assistant professor of agriculture, who taught agriculture for 30 years before passing away in March.
