ASU-Beebe Practical Nursing Program Ranked No. 2 in State
Posted Date: 11/28/23

Every year, PracticalNursing.org evaluates practical nursing programs in each state. This year the review organization announced that Arkansas State University-Beebe's practical nursing program has been ranked at No. 2 in Arkansas among 25 nursing programs.

"We are very proud of all of our programs, but it is especially rewarding when a program receives independent recognition like this for the continuing effort that students, faculty and staff invest in maintaining high standards," said Dr. Jennifer Methvin, ASU-Beebe chancellor.

According to PracticalNursing.org, the nursing programs are assessed on several factors that represent how well a program supports students toward licensure and beyond. The organization analyzed past and present first time National Clinical Licensing Exam for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN) “pass-rates” which were weighted by year.

“This achievement is a result of many hours of hard work and effort by our nursing students. They spend countless hours in the classroom and at our local community partner clinical sites learning how to be a nurse.  Our nursing director, Cindy Smith, has put together an amazing team of nursing faculty who are training the future healthcare workers of this state. I am so proud of this program and all of its accomplishments," said Dr. Joseph Scott, dean of the math and science division at ASU-Beebe.
