ASU-Beebe will host Advent Horizon, a U.S.-based progressive rock band, as part of the Lecture-Concert Series at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the Owen Center Theater, located at 1102 W. College Street in Beebe.
The event promises to be a highlight of the season, showcasing the band’s dynamic performances and talent.
Advent Horizon is gaining attention in the progressive rock world with their latest album, “A Cell to Call Home,” which features guest performances by Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater, Dave Meros of Spock's Beard, Randy McStine of Porcupine Tree, and Jared Hill of Snow Child. The album artwork was created by Travis Smith, known for his work with Opeth and Devin Townsend.
The album has received international praise from fans and critics, with many naming it one of the top albums of 2023. As Advent Horizon’s music spreads, the band is preparing for a tour, featuring the entirety of “A Cell to Call Home” in their live performances, which have been noted for their energy and precision.
“We are thrilled to host Advent Horizon at ASU-Beebe and to offer our community the opportunity to experience such an acclaimed and energetic performance. Their unique sound and the attention their latest album received makes this concert one of the highlights of our season,” said Andrea Cole, chair of the ASU-Beebe Lecture-Concert Series and interim associate vice chancellor of Institutional Advancement.
“We’re excited to continue bringing exceptional musical experiences to our students and the community through these performances.”
