ASU-Beebe Announces Exciting 2024-2025 Performing Arts Season

Arkansas State University-Beebe is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated Performing Arts Season for 2024-2025, featuring a diverse lineup of events that promise to entertain, educate and inspire audiences of all ages.
 
This year’s season offers a variety of performances, including band concerts, choral showcases, theatre productions, art exhibits and lectures, and the ever-popular ASU-Beebe Lecture-Concert Series.
 
The season kicks off with a free performance by “Runaway Planet Band” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 in The Grove on the Beebe campus. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy free food provided by Great Western Dining.
 
“We are excited to present a season that showcases the incredible talent within our community and brings diverse cultural experiences to our campus,” said Andrea Cole, interim associate vice chancellor of Institutional Advancement and chair of the Lecture-Concert Committee. “Our goal is to offer a wide range of performances and events that cater to all tastes, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming both our local community and visitors from afar to ASU-Beebe.”
 
In addition to “Runaway Planet Band,” the ASU-Beebe Lecture-Concert Series events also include:
  • “Advent Horizon” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the Owen Center theater.
  • "Ghosts of the Natural State" hosted by Unexplained Arkansas, the Podcast at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29 in the Science Building Lecture Hall.
  • Dr. Temple Grandin presentation at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 in the Owen Center theater.
  • “7 Bridges: The Ultimate Eagles Experience” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in the Owen Center theater. 
The annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony is set for Tuesday, Dec. 3 in The Grove on the Beebe campus. The event is free and open to the public.
 
The ASU-Beebe theatre department will present "The Bells are Ringing" from Nov. 7-10 and "The Patchwork Girl of OZ" from April 24-27, 2025 in the Owen Center theater.
The ASU-Beebe band and choir concerts are a must-attend experience. The concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Owen Center theater. The Symphonic Band concerts will be held on Monday, Sept. 30, Monday, Nov. 18, Thursday, March 6, 2025 and Thursday, May 1, 2025. Equally captivating are the Singers and Chamber Singers concerts scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3, Thursday, Nov. 21, Tuesday, March 4, 2025 and Thursday, May 6, 2025.
  
The Abington Library series will feature engaging events, including True Crime Week with Rodney Harris at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 and Janie Jones at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Don’t miss the special presentation “Remembering Pearl Harbor” by Joe Ann Taylor at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7. Spring 2025 will celebrate Children’s Literature Week on March 17-21.  
 
The England Center Art Gallery will showcase inspiring exhibitions throughout the season. Fall 2024 will feature Tony Bockhold’s “Gatherings” during September, "Memento-Mori: Narrative Portraits" by Michael Warrick during October and the ASUB Student Exhibition during November. Spring 2025 will feature "Couples that Create: Floryshak & Lindsey" during February, Jeff Young, during March and the ASUB Student Exhibition during April. All England Center Art Gallery Shows and Abington Library Series events are free and open to the public.  
  
ASU-Beebe Lecture-Concert Series general admission tickets for individual performances are priced at $10, while tickets for educators, military personnel, K-12 students and seniors aged 60+ are $5. Tickets for all ASU-Beebe theater productions are priced at $5 each. ASU-Beebe students, employees, and emeritus enjoy complimentary admission to all events upon presenting a valid identification. Please call (501) 882-8855 or email give@asub.edu for group bookings.
