The Adult Education Center at Arkansas State University-Beebe on the Searcy campus will present a GED Kickstart event from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at the Janett and Larry Crain Memorial Library in Searcy. The event is free and open to the public.
The event is designed to connect individuals with the tools and resources they need to pursue a high school diploma through GED preparation and job skills training.
GED Kickstart will highlight the free GED prep classes and employability skills training available to the public. These services aim to empower individuals to take the next step toward better employment opportunities and increased financial stability. On average, individuals with a high school diploma earn $10,000 more per year than those without one—a significant difference for families and the local economy.
“This is more than an educational opportunity,” said Gina Ramey, ASU-Beebe Adult Education director. “It’s a chance to invest in your future, build confidence, and open doors to a better life.”
The event is open to all, and pre-registration is encouraged to help organizers prepare. Attendees will enjoy refreshments, have a chance to win door prizes, and receive personalized information about how to begin or continue their GED journey.
