Marketing & Public Relations

Marketing & Public Relations
Marketing & Public Relations strives to promote and communicate internal and external information for all the campus locations at Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy, LRAFB and online.

The mission of the Office of Marketing and Public Relations is to disseminate accurate and complete information in a timely manner to all internal and external stakeholders of ASU-Beebe, which includes students, faculty, staff, administration, alums, donors, media groups and the general public in communities where we have campus locations.

Under the direction of Institutional Advancement, Marketing & Public Relations incorporates the following activities: marketing and advertising, public relations, brand management, social media coordination, media relations, merchandising, graphic design and multi-media.

The distribution list for news releases contains email addresses representing media outlets for the state newspaper and area daily and weekly newspapers, as well as radio stations, television stations, special publications, magazines and area chambers of commerce.

Please review our standard operating procedure that highlights distribution of news/press releases. News releases often require at least a two-week process for gathering information, scheduling interviews, photography, attending an event, news writing activities and the proofing process. While this may seem like a long time, it is needed to provide well written, thorough news releases along with high resolution professional photographs.

ASU-Beebe has Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles, maintained and updated by the marketing staff. These sites are vital communication and promotional tools for ASU-Beebe and its campuses. As set forth by a directive from the ASU System, the marketing staff is to manage and execute social media, which means posting content for anything relating to ASU-Beebe or its campuses as "official communication on behalf of the college." Please allow two days for posting on social media, and send your requests to our ticketing system at marketinghelp@asub.edu.

With appropriate authorization, official sites may be created in conjunction with ASU-Beebe’s social media pages by individual departments or programs or members of faculty in connection with specific courses. Please visit the Social Media procedure found on the Institutional Advancement Standard Operating Procedures page to learn more about this process.

The Vanguard News contains brief announcements and weekly events for all campus locations delivered via email.

Vanguard News is managed by the ASU-Beebe Office of Marketing and Public Relations. Let us know about events happening on campus ahead of time by emailing pr@asub.edu, so we can release news accordingly.
More emergent information may be sent by an email blast from the PR office to all students, faculty and staff. These may be campus-specific or can be distributed to all four campuses. Please send your requests to pr@asub.edu.
The Office of Marketing and Public Relations oversees and directs all advertising, which the director must approve. Three weeks advance notice is required for any advertising requests to ensure the appropriate design, style and layout, as well as budget considerations and timed placement in the media. Send requests to pr@asub.edu. We will respond with questions and/or comments as to the content, size and placement.
