Dr. Jennifer Methvin
Dr. Jennifer Methvin was appointed Chancellor of ASU-Beebe July 1, 2018. Prior to returning to ASU-Beebe, where she began her higher education teaching career as an adjunct faculty member, she had served as president of Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., since 2014.
Prior to taking the position at Crowder College in Missouri, Methvin had spent 23 years in various positions at higher education institutions throughout Arkansas. During her career Dr. Methvin has served as vice chancellor for academics at University of Arkansas Community College at Hope from 2005-2014. She served in various roles, including Division Chair of Arts and Sciences, at University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville from 1999-2005, and was assistant professor of English at ASU-Newport from 1993-1999.
Dr. Methvin’s education includes receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing and English at Arkansas Tech University, a Master of Arts in creative writing and English at Oklahoma State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in community college leadership at Walden University.
