Congratulations on your decision to join the Vanguard community! ASU-Beebe looks forward to working with you throughout your transition to the college. Through programs like New Student Orientation and Welcome Week, we seek to provide you the information and experiences to prepare and excite you for the beginning of your college experience.

If you missed an in-person orientation session, or you wish to refer back to information shared, we have an online orientation resource course available to students in Canva LMS.
New Student Orientation (NSO) at ASU-Beebe is a 3-hour program aimed at providing you, and your family, with an introduction to life on campus, a snapshot to the college classroom environment and an opportunity to finalize all your student account loose ends (i.e., financial aid, class registration, etc.). All new students are strongly encouraged to attend NSO. A companion program for parents and families is available for family members traveling to ASU-Beebe with you for NSO. TICKETS ARE REQUIRED DUE TO LIMITED CAPACITY.

What will New Student Orientation be like?
New Student Orientation in July & August is designed to connect you to fellow students, campus life, and college traditions. The session will include small group interaction with student leaders, free give-a-ways & games, and a presentation highlighting the most important information you need to know to be successful your first year at ASU-Beebe.

Student Social Event (Optional)
While you're on campus for New Student Orientation, attend your first student activity! Following each New Student Orientation session in July & August, student leaders will stick around for an extra hour to host a social event for new students preparing to attend ASU-Beebe for the Fall 2022 semester to connect with others students and begin building friendships that will last throughout your college career.
The Heber Springs Campus staff offer a specialized orientation workshops for students fully attending classes at the Heber Springs Campus. These session will help you connect with campus resources and services. Learn how to log in to your student accounts, pay your bill, purchase textbooks, and more.
All sessions on the Heber Springs Campus are walk-in, and do not require pre-registration.

All sessions on the Searcy Campus are walk-in, and do not require pre-registration.

Let us know your coming! - Optional Registration
Due to the special nature of the instructional site at the Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB), specialized orientation is held by LRAFB site staff. Students attending classes at the LRAFB will receive necessary information by their instructors. LRAFB students may contact the LRAFB campus staff for more information, 501.882.4581.
Online Orientation will introduce you to the college and provide information and resources that will help you be successful at your own pace. Designed for students attending ASU-Beebe fully online, or students unconformable with attending an in-person event in August, Online Orientation is a brief, 1-hour course and resource guide hosted in Canvas - the online platform you will access all/most of your classes' assignments and grades.
You will complete a series of modules which include videos, resources, and important dates to learn about your next steps to complete at your own pace. Topics include:
- Getting Started: Portal, Financial Aid, Placement Testing and Registration
- How can the Advising and Learning Center get me ready for ASUB?
- How do I pay for this semester?
- How do I succeed as a college student at ASUB?
- Who can I reach out to when I need help?
- How can I become part of the ASUB Community?
- Important training and information
Following the course, the online orientation modules will be available for you to return to and access at anytime during your time at ASU-Beebe.
The online orientation course will be made available to students in Canva LMS on August 1st.
During each in-person New Student Orientation session of the Beebe Campus (see "Beebe Campus Orientation" drop-down above for more information), ASU-Beebe offers a companion program for parents, families and support individuals traveling to ASU-Beebe with their student for orientation.
Students allowed to bring one (1) family/ support person to accompany them to event.
The Family/ Support sessions will include a special presentation and Q&A with key college offices (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Cashier’s) focused on providing students’ family/support members with tools & resources to best support their student in college.
Family/support members must register with their student above under the "Beebe Campus Orientation" drop-down.
*Please know if event capacity requires, family/support members may be directed to an alternate location separate from students to ensure social distancing in the venue space.
