Welcome Vanguard Family!

Attending college is a big step for the student in your life. From submitting their application to preparing for graduation, you’re always there for them — and we’re always here for you. When your student comes to ASU-Beebe, you and your family become part of the Vanguard community as well; and we invite you to take advantage of the various events and programs that are designed only for the parents and families of ASU-Beebe students. By engaging in your student’s higher education career, your experience can and will be just as bountiful and fulfilling as your students.

We encourage parents and families to become your student’s #1 fan, supporting and cheering them on until they cross the graduation stage; because we want, what you want…your student’s success!

Virtual Family Week Banner

Started in 2020 as Family Appreciation Day, Family Week is ASU-Beebe's newest campus tradition. Each year, ASU-Beebe dedicates a week to celebrate and show appreciation for the many families of ASU-Beebe that work hard to support their students throughout the year.

The week of events include a free in-person concert, several activities the entire family can participate in whether your student is living home or on campus (including, social media bingo, and a family game night).

For more information about ASU-Beebe’s Virtual Family Appreciation Week, continue reading, or email family@asub.edu.

Family Week Concert

To officially celebrate and show appreciation for the many families of ASU-Beebe that work hard to support their students throughout the year, the Office of Student Life and the Lecture-Concert Series is teaming up to host a free in-person concert Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. in The Grove behind State Hall on the Beebe campus.

In addition to the free concert,  Lecture-Concert Series and Student Life have partnered with Great Western Dining, Inc. during ASU-Beebe Family Week in providing free food to the first 300 concert attendees.

Family Week Social Media Bingo

In addition to engaging with the college, Virtual Family Appreciation Week is also about families engaging with their students. One way families can plan to engage with their student during, Virtual Family Appreciation Week, is playing our social media bingo game. The Office of Student Life has supplied families a Family Week Social Media Bingo Card (linked below). Families are encouraged to take pictures of themselves completing each task with their student, and posting the picture on their social media using the hashtag #ASUBFamily. Tasks include video chatting with their student away from home, cooking a meal with their student, helping their student study, taking a family picture with ASUB merchandise, etc. Throughout Family Appreciation Week, photos posted with the hashtag will be highlighted by ASU-Beebe’s social media accounts.
