Graduate Published in Arkansas Money & Politics

ASU-Beebe graduate Sarah Vaughn was recently published by Arkansas Money & Politics, the state’s premier business and political magazine.

Article by Kelsey McGraw

While at ASU-Beebe, Vaughn was a member of the Honors Program, Ecology Club, and held a summer internship with the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Vaughn, of Cabot, was a recipient of ASU-Beebe’s Academic Achievement Scholarship and graduated in May 2017 with an Associate of Arts degree.

“ASU-Beebe was the perfect stepping stone from high school to college,” said Vaughn. “The professors were encouraging and provided the kind of assistance needed to enhance my writing skills and propel me into the journalism interest.”

Vaughn is attending the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she serves as the Social Media and Publications Appointed Officer of the Sigma Phi Lambda sorority. Vaughn is also a student employee at the Center for Educational Access Test Center, where she delivers and proctors exams.

Vaughn plans to graduate from the UofA in May with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. After graduation, she would like to work in public relations, write for a magazine, or work in digital social media.
