Graphic Design

Dwelling at the intersection of art and business, graphic designers translate abstract concepts into tangible visuals. The objective of the Associate of Fine Arts in Graphic Design is to provide an introductory level of understanding of the field of design – from print publishing to interface design and more. The use of both conceptual and industry-based design problems helps to foster the technical skills and the confidence to be competitive in the market place. The program is focused on cultivating creativity and fluency in the visual language.

Graphic Design within the Arkansas State University-Beebe Art Department gives students a very hands-on understanding of visual communication. This is done with Adobe software as well as traditional media like drawing and photography. Students also study the history of art and design to become more fluent communicators. With this broad range of skills, ASU-Beebe students with an Associate of Fine Arts in Graphic Design begin great careers or continue their studies at four-year universities.
