Computer Information Systems

Program Information

Computer Information Systems intertwines technology with managing business and solving operational problems.  This program prepares the student to enter the challenging field of computer information systems with knowledge of programming, database management and systems analysis. The program is designed to meet the business community's demand for properly trained information systems specialists, as well as providing the student with a solid background to advance in this rapidly expanding field. Students learn how to develop, design, manage and maintain business technology infrastructure, and be able to inform businesses of their specific technology needs. Students acquire knowledge in topics which include widely used programming languages, database development and manipulation as well as application softwares.

The Continuing Education/Workforce Development Department at ASU-Beebe sponsors numerous non-credit classes that are designed to meet the needs of the general public and business workforce.

Advanced Programs

Through a partnership between A-State and ASUB, students may earn baccalaureate degrees from Arkansas State University by taking coursework at the Degree Center on the Beebe campus.
