All requests for
work to ASUB.edu should be made through the web services work order form.
This allows us to better track and manage our web projects. Below is how requests will be processed:
-
Initial
request is made and an e-mail is sent to the requestor
containing their project request number.
-
Requests are
then reviewed by the Web Site Coordinator.
-
Once reviewed,
the project will be marked as "reviewed" in our
project log.
-
Once work on
a project has begun, the project status will be changed to
"work in progress" and the option to attach
files will be unavailable.
-
Upon
completion of the project, the status will be marked as
"completed" and a notification e-mail will
be sent to the requestor.
Web projects
to be completed by a certain date, should be requested
30 days in advance to ensure proper fulfillment of the form.
This does not include minor site updates such as press releases,
name/title changes, etc. Be very specific when submitting your
request to avoid delays in processing your work order. We are
here to serve students, therefore any work directly targeted to our students has greater priority over all other requests.
Please submit as much information as possible when creating a request. Make sure to include: contact information, the content to be posted or changed, specific position/page to place new content, specify whether there is information to remove, and make note of time sensitive information.
There are certain limitations on online materials. For ADA and W3C compliance, certain formatting will be modified. We Will attempt to keep true to the original content where possible. Specifically, no underlines will be used for emphasis, this is reserved for hyperlinks only.
Most information should be created as a new page or added to a current page. Files will only be posted when materials are intended to be printed by the end user. The typical format will be Adobe PDF, unless otherwise requested. These requests will have to be authorized by the Website Coordinator before being posted.
