Staff and Peer Mentoring
Staff and peer mentors are available to participants to promote development of a stronger connection to the college.
Extensive tutorial services
Participants may receive one-to-one and small group tutoring provided by qualified peer tutors. These tutors are familiar with the requirements and expectations of ASU-Beebe or ASUB Heber Springs instructors.
Cultural and Social Activities
Participants have opportunities to interact with other Student Support Services students. The students attend performances or activities that will enrich the college experience.
Student Support Services participants may use the TRIO computer lab Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. All computers have Internet access, Microsoft Word, and may be used for the computer-based math courses. Additionally, there are many tutorial programs available to help students with their coursework. Both Accuplacer and Praxis practice tests are available.
Student Advisory Board
Extensive information about our club is available on Facebook. Log on and type Student Advisory Board into the search box. Beebe campus only.
Counseling and Advising
Student Support Services advisors help students navigate the university environment, decide on majors and develop better study skills. In addition, Student Support Services offers personal, career, academic, and financial aid counseling.
Stress and time management, study skills and calculator workshops, as well as many other topics, are presented during the semester to supplement the learning process.
Transfer Assistance and Trips
Student Support Services likes to make transferring as easy as possible for our participants. We strive to provide any information about their chosen school that may facilitate a smooth transition. We also offer tours of other campuses throughout the semester.
Thank you for your interest in Student Support Services. If you have any additional questions, please visit the Student Support Services offices on the Beebe campus in State Hall, Suite 125B, or the Student Support Services offices on the Heber Springs campus in the Academic Building, Room 230.
