New Student Orientation

Welcome to ASU-Beebe!

We are excited to welcome you to Arkansas State University-Beebe (ASUB) during New Student Orientation. New Student Orientation is designed to help students acclimate to the college environment and have a strong start at ASUB. Our goal is to answer your questions, connect you to campus resources, learn strategies for a successful start, and help you capitalize on your college experience.

In an effort to maintain the guidelines associated with COVID-19, New Student Orientation 2020 will be hosted as a virtual experience.

New Student Orientation (NSO) at ASU-Beebe will be presented in two formats for fall 2020. First, we will offer live, virtual NSO sessions, and secondly,  all new students will be added to an online course shell through Canvas, our learning management system.

Virtual New Student Orientation

New students and their families can enjoy an experience similar to the traditional on-campus NSO sessions, with the same content, but from the comfort of their homes.

August 3 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

August 10 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Online New Student Orientation

The online new student orientation is NOT the same as the live, virtual NSO. Much of the content is the same, but the online version is much more thorough. All new students will be automatically added to the online NSO in their Canvas learning management shell in early August 2020. To log into Canvas, simply log into your Vanguard Portal at

The online NSO will continue with you throughout your time at ASUB so you can refer to it as often as necessary for information about campus services and resources.
