 The Full College Experience

The best college experiences are those that take advantage of community. Make your college experience one to remember by getting involved in clubs, intramural sports, and cultural events and partaking in ASU-Beebe's many traditions! Here are just some of the regular events the Vanguard life has to offer:

Harvest Fest

Although ASU-Beebe has expanded far beyond its humble agricultural begins, each fall the campus takes time to celebrate it's founding as a state agriculture school with a week of activities. The week of events highlights the campus' current agricultural and mechanical programs, and the history of the university. The week ends with a large dance known as the Harvest Social, and the crowning of Harvest Queen & King by the student body.

Chill & Grill

Each year the week following spring break, ASU-Beebe celebrates the last term of the academic year before graduation with Chill & Grill. Students end the academic year and welcome warmer weather by engaging in various fun activities. Many student organizations participate in this event providing food and entertainment for a campus community eager to relax and have fun before the serious business of final exams begins. It is also a time for organizations to recruit new members and publicize to the campus why they exist.

Late Night Breakfast

The Late Night Breakfast is a Vanguard tradition, held each semester on the night before final exams begin. Instructors and staff from across the university don aprons and chef hats to serve a full (and free!) breakfast to students from 9 p.m.- 11 p.m., and wish them good luck on their final exams. Nothing relieves the stress of Finals Week like your Provost handing you a plate of pancakes, your Chem professor dishing up yogurt parfaits, while other faculty and staff join the fun.

Game Show Nights

Bup-bup-buh-dah! Come enjoy a fun evening of either playing or watching student competition in various live game shows. Each month the campus hosts a game show night where students can win big prizes in live games inspired by shows like: Jeopardy, Family Feud, IQ Games, Match Game, Deal or No Deal, etc.

The Vanguard Cup

At ASU-Beebe, students can make personal connections with their instructors. Whether inside or outside the classroom, students are supported by the Vanguard community. One ASU-Beebe tradition is the year-round competition between faculty, staff and students in the battle to keep the Vanguard Cup. Throughout the semester employees and students face each other in academic, social, and intramural events.

International Week

Each January, ASU-Beebe celebrates humanity's diversity through an entire week dedicated to exposing students to diverse cultures. Each day of International Week, the University Café features food from a specified continent, while the Student Life Office hosts activities featuring a custom common to culture groups from the featured continent. Events have included: Martial Arts Self-defense, Henna Body Art, Spanish Karaoke, and Australian Aboriginal Dot Art.  And best of all it is FREE !!
