The Arkansas State University-Beebe Art Department is featuring Summer of the Kitchen Sink exhibit through Friday, Aug. 8 at the England Center Art Gallery.
The exhibit is a collection of private and personal works of the ASU-Beebe Art Department. Artworks were submitted by past and present students and faculty members.
“This is a great opportunity to see different media offered by the Art Department, such as photography, painting, drawing and alternative media,” said Mona Vaden, assistant professor of art.
ASU-Beebe is the only two-year college in the state of Arkansas that offers an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree. The AFA degree has an emphasis in graphic design or creative arts enterprise. This degree is a comprehensive two-year curriculum designed specifically for transfer toward a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
The Summer of the Kitchen Sink may be viewed at the England Center Art Gallery, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The gallery is located at the corner of Center and Orange Streets in Beebe. For more information, call (501) 882-4495.
Arkansas State University-Beebe is a regional state university that is an operationally separate, two-year institution of the Arkansas State University System. With campuses located in Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy, and Little Rock Air Force Base, the university offers associate degrees, certificates, and non-credit training for business and industry. The Beebe campus also collaborates with ASU-Jonesboro to offer baccalaureate and graduate degrees on the Beebe campus.
