ASU-Beebe Concert-Lecture Series Welcomes Elizabeth Eckford

Arkansas State University-Beebe's 2018 Concert-Lecture Series program is proud to welcome a presentation by Elizabeth Eckford, one of the historic "Little Rock Nine".  This presentation is the featured program in recognition of Black History Month, and will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Owen Center Auditorium on the ASU-Beebe main campus.

BEEBE, Ark.:-- The administration of Arkansas State University-Beebe is proud to welcome Elizabeth Eckford, a member of the historic "Little Rock Nine" for a presentation on the Beebe campus in recognition of Black History Month on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

The presentation is FREE and open to the public, however, seating is limited and students will be given priority.  The presentation will be held at 1 p.m. in the Owen Center Auditorium located on the Beebe campus.

Ms. Eckford, one of the historic nine black students that integrated Little Rock Central High School during the fall of 1957, will deliver a presentation based on the recently released book by David Margolick entitled: Elizabeth and Hazel.  The book details the relationship between the two women during the 1957 Crisis and through the decades following.  The book is available at all Central Arkansas Library System locations as well as the ASU-Beebe Abington Library or on

There will be a brief question and answer session with Ms. Eckford following the presentation.
